Model 3 Delivery - When! - I feel like a kid @ Christmas

So, after waiting patiently for 4 years from the roadmap plan, and putting my reservation in-person on 3/31/16 I got my configuration email on 3/23/18 and immediately configured my Aero/MSM Model 3 and started to get really excited. I started checking the site after the 4th week of waiting multiple times per day and lo and behold this Monday morning I logged in to see a VIN updated on my Tesla account!

Throughout this entire process I have just been throwing Tesla money blindly, and the few times I have called to see progress the employees on the phone have been completely unable to give me any information at all on status, etc.

So, now that I have my VIN - how exactly does the process work? Is the car built and they just need to get it to my location? No one seems to know and I am going stir-crazy here!

I live in a state (South Carolina) where there are no Tesla stores so I had the option of driving in March to Florida (Jacksonville) or North Carolina (Charlotte) to stand in line with all the other non-owners on 3/31/16. I chose Florida.

I am now working on a project here in Charlotte for the next couple months. So I am wondering when someone from Tesla will call me and tell me when I can come get my car in (hopefully) Charlotte.

UGH! Anyone know a good estimation on this one? Thanks!!

I logged in today and noticed my VIN had been added, too. I'm also curious as to how the process proceeds from here.

FWIW, when my VIN was posted to my account back in March, I got a phone call from my delivery specialist within a day to introduce themselves and discuss where and when I wanted to take delivery. Very personal process from there.

I've read up on this. When you get your VIN someone will call you. Make sure your phone number is correct in the info. Over the phone I was told it will likely just be just a week, but no more than 2 weeks. I'm on the 3rd day now.

Just trust in the process. If you don't hear anything after 10 days from your VIN, call them. Don't go crazy, just busy yourself with something else and just have your phone with you to pick up a call.
