Getting Nervous!!!

Should I be receiving any phone calls or emails telling me my Model 3 is ready for delivery and pickup at the Delivery Center? I'm supposed to take delivery this Friday in Costa Mesa. I've called my IDA and Costa Mesa and no one answers my calls or emails. Should I just show up? or is Tesla supposed to call you to let you know everything is ready to go?? Getting nervous after hearing all the horror stories.

That's my situation as well.
Except my delivery center is 2 hours away. I will not leave on delivery day to get the car unless the actual delivery center confirms with me the car is ready and has been inspected. As much as I want this car, there are too many horror stories of folks showing up to get the car and being told the truck was delayed, or the car was damaged, etc.
If they could just get there website working correctly it would save a lot of calls. Mine has been stuck at the same place since I place my order in July. I can't add financing info or anything. I have called 3 times to try and get it unlocked so I can complete the requested information my IDA keeps asking me to add. The IDAs especially are overwhelmed, which is why the web developers need to help them out.

I finalized all of my info with my IDA last night. She stayed on the line with me and we filled it out together, with her "mirroring" my site on her end. And she double-checked everything was good to go before we got off the phone. You might have your IDA do that with you, as well.

How did you reach her? I called Tesla last time and got a guy who was very nice, but he tried to message my IDA and got no response. So he said someone would call me back within 24 hours to fix. That did not happen. My emails to her have gone mostly unanswered.
I realize they are super busy over there, which is why they should try and get things right the first time.
If you are too busy to do it right the first time, you sure are to busy to try and fix it over and over again.
I'm not mad, I just want to get things in order on my end so that the delivery goes as planned. Sold my car last weekend and I'll be using Turo until I get my car :(

Perhaps I just got lucky. My IDA Tracy called me, returned my calls when she said she would and followed up really promptly. See if you can get your IDAs phone number. Tracy gave me hers, so I could reach her whenever I needed to.

Chill, if you have a time already set, then you should be good. If it is a "by this date" then the vehicle probably isn't ready.

It takes a LOT of work for a overworked delivery specialist to call everyone multiple times to keep them happy, so it may not happen.

Trust me, when Tesla has a car ready to go, they will make sure it goes.

You are also missing the thousands of folks with very successful deliveries. Most Tesla delivery centers don't have a ton of space or workers sitting idle. So a lot of activity is done, "just in time". You don't want to clean a car today and have it sitting in the Florida salt air for a few days just to have to clean it again. So, from what I can tell, they prep it really close to delivery, and that's when some of the issues are found. I know, it sucks, but when you going from not even being considered on the Top 100 list to being Top of the list in a few months, things aren't the most desirable.

You will probably not hear from anyone until your car is ready, so sit back and just breathe. Maybe its time to go get a little of the beach time that you can never manage to get.

I feel bad for all the folks with unresponsive IDA's. Mine always responded to my texts instantly and would call me back immediately when I left voicemails. That said, once we set up my delivery I didn't hear anything until about 20 minutes before they delivered it to my house but my IDA prepared me for the whole experience and set my expectations well.

You must reading too much angst in my posts. As I said, I am not mad. I am a planner though and have learned through the years that just sitting back and hoping things go right does not always work out. Most times it does. But a little extra attentiveness on my part takes care of most of the rest of life's challenges.
I suppose these are truly first world problems. :)
