I think my Drive Unit is toast, or at least on it's way out. 146,315 miles on it. Just renewed the registration on it after 4 years of glorious ownership... Not looking forward to the bill cost. At all. But perhaps it's nothing.

I was asked if I had any drive units serviced and I said no as Tesla refused to perform the servicing on mine since the 100K maintenance intervals were dropped from the manuals... Kinda regretting not pushing Tesla to do it anyways, but that's hindsight.

I'm curious if anyone here has experienced something very similar and what the outcome was.

As of right now i'm writing off my rear drive unit, as i'm sure the differential is built into it and not a separate component, but I have to research that I guess.

Also, what's the repair bill looking like? $10K? 15K? 20K? Timeframe is my main concern, above all else.
