@SkepTeach : Tesla replied back that they're only willing to adjust the taxes if I trade in with them, and they only accept trade-ins on the same day as delivery of the new vehicle. Waiting on the DMV.

@SkepTeach, the DMV replied back and told me the trade-in and purchase has to be the same transaction to get the sales tax credit. That's what I assumed all along, but it didn't hurt to ask ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In Vermont you fill out a form and can get your credit when the sell and purchase are separate. Just an FYI if that is possible there also.

Ah ok. I would ignore that update. Its coming back to the original range. No sweat. The cali pickups seem to get moved to EOQ. But you're east coast. No way the average is 9 weeks (excluding @Flatbroke) and you are 24 weeks. Its a glitch.

At that point I'd just want to hold out until the new year to get a 2023 and maybe a tax credit. I guess time will tell.

We don't know that yet. The specifics of the bill may change before it gets signed into law and Tesla may make certain things ala carte to get the MSRP down below the threshold...

Dude. Some guy on Reddit replied to a thread and had the EXACT same order as me… M3P, MSM/White, etc. with delivery to Raleigh, NC. He ordered a week after me and already has a VIN.

*sugar* irks me so much. Happy for him for sure, but tesla is annoying lol

The model Y P in red is 69990. After credit, it would be 62490, which is cheaper than the 66000 the red m3p costs.

But rest assured that just like Ford, the Model Y price will be adjusted accordingly.

It'll get bumped around quite a bit. Dont hold your breath on those dates.

You may have to reach out to the 1-800 number or talk to your SA as there has been a glitch where it isn't showing up and has to be fixed.
