I got a chance to drove AP2.0 model x, I noticed some of the difference compare to my AP1.0 model x, created a video about it, hope it helps for those who wonders what has improved along the way.
Great video. Thanks for the time you took for taking and posting it. I, too, believe that quality factors need to be improved. Why spend $100k plus and get a lesser quality?

Because AP1.0 has been maxed out, while AP2.0/2.5 continues to improve with each software updates. A good number of people report parity with the latest version (2018.10.4 and beyond). AP1.0 has obvious limitations with curved roads that aren't present in AP2.0 cars.
Plus a lot of the build quality issues from the 2016 models have been mostly resolved in the latest models (squeaky FWDs anyone?)
