I will receive a Tesla X and am interested how the internet communication works. Is the navigation system connected with it and how is the system receiving traffic informations to calculate alternative routes?

Hi xcell

The navigation application is based on Google maps: it also uses Google maps traffic aware system. In the settings, you are able to set how many minutes another route should be faster that the system leads you that way.
