I was so happy she only hit the reflector. Yeah it just pops right in. It took the service tech less than a minute to do it and most of that time was him opening the package.Thank you so much for the info! Hopefully she doesnt take a shovel near the car anymore haha. So the Model Y rear reflector is just popped in? They don't need to remove the bumper?
Thanks again!
Phew! So relieved. How much was the repair if you dont mind me asking? Thank you so much!I was so happy she only hit the reflector. Yeah it just pops right in. It took the service tech less than a minute to do it and most of that time was him opening the package.
Not really. Labor includes time travel between SC and your location. And any warranty, and cost of equipment, etc. Sounds reasonable if you are the service person, assuming you want to be paid a living wage.Same issue here. My wife just backed into something and broke the rear deflector.
Got I quote from Tesla today: part $30, mobile service labor $168 total $200.70.
Seems a bit expensive, now that I read that it will only take them a minute to install.
Ended up just ordering the part through the service center, picked it up and installed it myself. Once you break the red reflector piece the black bracket holding it can be bend and comes out rather easy. Replacement pops right in.Same issue here. Someone just hit the bumper and broke the reflector on left side. It seems easy to replace, Can I order the left reflector from Tesla and how long will it take?
How do you order the part from the service center? We have one in Buenapark, CA.Ended up just ordering the part through the service center, picked it up and installed it myself. Thanks so much for your replied. I am not to far away, I can swing by tomorrow to one of the SC in Costa Mesa. How far are you from a SC? I find that a personal visit is quicker and more reliable than online communication with Tesla.

Agreed. $200.70 to replace the reflector is very expensive. It is a minute job to snap the reflector back.Well that WOULD be expensive!
I know, but I have my OCD every time I look at it.Based on the photo, I'd be tempted to ignore it. It's down so low, you don't see it every time you walk up to the car.
