Just got my model y earlier this month and had kumho tires put on. My friend just got his today had Pirelli Scorpio. Wondering if anyone looked into this and why the difference?
@yodaTendies your car came from Tesla with Kumho tires? If so, which Kumho model tire did they use?
I was considering switching to Kumho rather than the OEM Continentals when mine wear out. The Kumho tires are about $50 less per tire and have a 10,000 mile longer tread life warranty.

Is your friend’s Model Y also a RWD Y?
It’s my understanding that all these Y/3 cars are coming from China now and it looks like they have different tire suppliers. Those tires are probably made locally to the final assembly plant.
To answer my own question from above, someone in Canada posted picks of their China-made MY on Twitter and the tires on it were Kumho Majesty 9 Solus TA91 EV 255/45R19 104V.
