More range and a larger tire that would avoid curb rash would be perfect.

Unfortunately unlikely going to happen. So far every single Tesla rim I have seen is so wide that it is not protected by the tire. And in addition the trend to bigger diameter rims (and resulting low profile tires) makes them even more likely to get curbed.

So the model 3 18" standard wheels would work just fine on the non-P model Y? No difference in the wheel offsets?

AFAIK, all Model Y trims have the same size calipers/rotor diameters. Performance has slightly thicker break pads/rotor.

The caliper is the limiting factor - it will scrape the inner wall of the wheels.

So, I still think 18 Aeros will not clear rhe rear.

Would the Model Y uberwheels fit in a Model 3? worried of if the wheels will fill up too much of the wells.
Thanks!!

It will not and it's going to look ridiculously big for the Model 3.

There is probably no alternative tire that will match the dimensions of model 3 20" rims with 235 tires, and if there is - probably so thin that it would not make sense to use.

Plus, you only have about 15mm clearance on the Model 3 stock tire and suspension knuckle (see pics) - that is another factor to consider for a tire for 21" wheel.
