Anyone else hoping to be able to get the Armor Glass from the semi reveal, as a replacement windshield at some point? For those living in warm climes year-round, it's probably not a big deal but for people who live in places with winter where they put gravel on the roads, the annual windshield replacement is a pain (and expensive). Unfortunately I'm not able to get glass insurance for the windshield on my S here, so the idea of paying some extra bucks for an "unbreakable" windshield holds a lot of appeal for me.
I wonder if that's a spinoff technology from the solar roofing development; those shingles can withstand a pretty hefty impact and it would make sense to leverage that into the automotive side assuming the glass is easy to laminate and shape.
