Museums with electric cars

I was in Fairbanks a couple of years ago, and saw the same three electrics. They also have a Owen Magnetic hybrid. Fantastic museum with lots of one-of-a-kind cars.

Here in Silicon Valley, there is a Detroit Electric that lives in the trolley barn at the San Jose Historical Park. It showed up at the Cupertino Drive Electric event a couple of weeks ago.

Since @ohmman revived this necro-thread, I'll offer a few updates:

- Jay Leno also has an Owen Magnetic hybrid. He recently featured it in one of his Lenos Garage youtube videos:

- The EV Museum which is co-located with the Kingman Route 66 Museum, is now also the location of the new Kingman Supercharger site. Recently the EV museum has also procured a new building a couple blocks away which will allow many more cars to be displayed.

- The Detroit Electric in the Trolley Barn at History San Jose is a 1916 model. One of the neat things about it is the dual controls. It can be driven from either the front or back seat. It is fully operational and occasionally sees the sun. The Trolley Barn also has three fully restored antique electric streetcars which operate via trolley poles and 600V DC overhead wires. Two of them, the 1912 American car and the 1920 Birney car, are used on weekends for free rides between noon and 3 PM. There is also an antique horsedrawn street car from San Francisco, and a steam locomotive that was also used in San Francisco - and later in Needles, California on display.
