First time charging to 100 % and shown 394km (244 miles) for a 2016 90D. Checking online, i only had less than 6% loss. Do i assume my battery is in decent shape? Thanks

I’m at 45K miles on my X90D and the last time I charged to 100% showed 238 miles. I’ve been babying the battery (keeping it between 50-70%) since I started working from home in March 2020 due to the pandemic. So hoping that it’s just a calibration thing because I don’t charge to 90% very often…

Could be calibrate issue. I think it is ok to charge to 100% occasionally but dont keep it at 100% for too long is the principle.

I agree. I’ve charged to 100% quite a few times. Especially during long trips from southern cal to northern cal. For example during 2020 I made about 12 round trips from SoCal to NoCal. I recently charged repeatedly to 100% 2 months ago when I moved from southern cal to Dallas. To your point, I get right back on the road after. Normally I charge to 90% and majority of the charging is done at a supercharger. I normally charge when I have 60-70 miles left.

Yes, I should charge it up to 100% and discharge down lower to go through the calibration process. The problem is that I don’t drive enough these days to be able to time departing at 100% properly, nor do I drive far enough to discharge it down below 10%… never thought I’d say it, but these non-traveling, work from home days, it’s almost like the car has too much range for my use case. :)
