Ok, those look totally badass! Going to look on Ali now to find them for our on-order Y.
Have you removed them any times since installing?
Lol. 99.9% of all Tesla after market parts come from China. Every US seller is simply re-selling so if your against China you have no options.Any of these from the US. I rather not get them from China.
Good luck with that, as stated above, everything comes from China anyway. At least when you get it from AliExpress or whatever, you cut out the middleman.Any of these from the US. I rather not get them from China.
Some come from Taiwan…Lol. 99.9% of all Tesla after market parts come from China. Every US seller is simply re-selling so if your against China you have no options.
Fair rebuttal, a sweatshop not in the US then lol. Some come from Taiwan…
Some also come from South Korea, they have a fairly thriving Tesla market (heck the original aftermarket CCS adapter was created by them, although they had a contract manufacturer make them). Some come from Taiwan…
Look on Amazon (I bought my Model 3 covers from there). Almost all of them originate from China, but there are plenty of listings which ships from Amazon (look for "Fulfilled by Amazon"), so you don't have to wait for customs and there are easy returns (just drop off at a UPS store) if those are your primary concerns. If your concern instead is avoiding ones manufactured by China, that would be a lot harder to do.Any of these from the US. I rather not get them from China.
I was just making a joke, since Taiwan is basically China with a different name.Fair rebuttal, a sweatshop not in the US then lol.
Not exactly, for almost every reason relevant to buying products from other countries, they are completely different:I was just making a joke, since Taiwan is basically China with a different name.
All fair, however, in terms of the joke and the context before it, if someone wants something from the US and not from China, then Taiwan is viewed very similar to China in generalities for the majority of people who don’t know the nuances and differences. Not exactly, for almost every reason relevant to buying products from other countries, they are completely different:
In terms of tariffs (both import and export) it runs on a completely different set of rules than China does.
If your concern are labor rights, the minimum wage is more than twice that of China, they have much stronger protections in terms of holiday, max work hours/overtime etc, and universal healthcare (something even the US does not have).
If your concern is about ideology, Taiwan's government is a multiparty representative democracy modeled after the US (the ROC's founder was heavily influenced by America, having lived in the US for quite some time), while China's is decidedly not. They are also a long running ally of the US, while China had never been (in fact during the Korean war, troops from either side even have fought each other), and is currently poised to be the biggest rival of the US.

Also, where’d you get the center caps? All the covers I see on AliExpress don’t have the Tesla caps (for obvious reasons).
nope. But I kinda play with it. It is a bitch to remove. FYI, u need to remove to get to the air valve.Have you removed them any times since installing?
