Name or Number?

When I use my (Android) phone the home screen shows an icon for the Tesla app followed by a 6 digit number. The same number appears in the app called Tesla Advanced Notifications. What does this number mean and can it be changed? If I name my car, will the name appear instead of the number?

Sounds like this is your referral ID. Afaik it can't be changed.

If you don't assign a name the car uses the last 6 numbers of your VIN as an identifier.
