Need advice on Rear End Damage

The 3 came home. Almost forgot how to drive it! Been 4 days shy of 3 months since the accident.

Body shop did a fantastic job.

The only problem is a minor one. Message on screen reads Software Update Required. Contact Tesla Service. Shop thought this would clear up when connected to my home wifi but the message persists. They’re going to contact Tesla. I probably will too. Hoping this is an easy fix.

Congratulations and welcome back! What these body shops can do is nothing short of amazing. Really - the cars come out looking and performing like brand new. Glad they were able to save your Model 3! Got any post-repair photos?

Our Buick came home this week too. All my worry was unfounded. It looks spectacular. Can’t speak highly enough about the body shop (Collision Restoration - Fairfield NJ) enough. They’re also a Tesla certified shop - apparently they’ve won an award from Tesla as one of the top 5 Tesla repair shops in the US; great to know they’re in my backyard.

I’m glad you had such a great repair. Tesla’s certification program seems extremely strict, and the results show. I think that standard cross pollinates - when a shop is good enough to be Tesla certified, they’re good enough to fix my Buick too. Hard to believe it was the same car ...

My final repair cost was a little over $21K. Glad it’s over with.

That's awesome! Looks amazing - again, like nothing happened. Can't be upset with results like that. ... and for all the hype, it looks like Tesla has their act together (finally) around parts supply. Interesting though - it was roughly the same cost as our deer hit - about $21k. At 70mph, hitting a deer is like hitting a brick wall. Did some serious damage, but it drives and rides like brand new.

It's not as sexy as your Model 3, but I do like the look of the Buick. Best looking large SUV on the road, in my book. Just needs an electric drivetrain
