I got it to work. After putting some miner's lamp on my head, I was able to see what I was looking at. I slid the locking tab (gray) back, and then just squeeze it out. Even then, I removed the two bolts. I had a tough time getting the caliper off the car, I had to keep prying it before it became loose and I was able to slide the new pads back on. I tested with a 9V battery at the end, I could hear something working. I ended up doing the neutral unplug instead as I didn't have a second alligator clip to work that thing easily.
While I only finished one side, I did go back to the front and cut the heat shield off. Are you guys using something to protect the speed sensor? I found something on amazon, but it is a sleeve and not the sticky type. Is the speed sensor easily removable?
I didn't remove the rear wheel heat shield, too much work from what it appears.
