Hey guys, I am stuck on the rear brake pads change on my 3P. I guess the procedure is to jack up the car, put the car in neutral and then unplug the brake brake connector before removing the fixed caliper. My question is how do you remove the plug? I didn't want to break it so I just gave up on it, but need to know if I am supposed to squeeze it or push some pins? Thanks

Just slide the grey tab slightly backwards with a pocket screwdriver. Then apply light pressure to it and it should "pop up" and the connector can slide off. Sliding the connector off may take some pressure.

Pull the tab out and press it in to release the catch then pull on the body of the connector. Sometimes dust and dirt can prevent that tab from being pressed in enough to release the connector. I blow around that area with an air line first. You'll also need to apply 9-12V to the motor after you've removed the plug in order to fully retract the EPB mechanism, or you won't be able to get new pads in,.

I got it to work. After putting some miner's lamp on my head, I was able to see what I was looking at. I slid the locking tab (gray) back, and then just squeeze it out. Even then, I removed the two bolts. I had a tough time getting the caliper off the car, I had to keep prying it before it became loose and I was able to slide the new pads back on. I tested with a 9V battery at the end, I could hear something working. I ended up doing the neutral unplug instead as I didn't have a second alligator clip to work that thing easily.

While I only finished one side, I did go back to the front and cut the heat shield off. Are you guys using something to protect the speed sensor? I found something on amazon, but it is a sleeve and not the sticky type. Is the speed sensor easily removable?

I didn't remove the rear wheel heat shield, too much work from what it appears.

Thanks all

I forgot to mention the endless pads I got was way smaller than the factory ones. A little weird or did they give me wrong pad?

更換後,卡鉗非常簡單〜只需將其設置為運輸模式...將重物放在駕駛員座椅上以防止斷電

After dealing with that pain in the a$$ rear pads swap, I have to think hard before taking on more work around the rear brakes. How hard is it to remove it btw?

I did remove the front one, god I hate using my cutting tool.
