Tesla's Supercharger Team was recently laid off. We discuss what this means for the company on today's TMC Podcast streaming live at 1PM PDT. You can watch on X or on YouTube where you can participate in the live chat.
They take a solid 2-3 minutes to load for me, but they do eventually work. My kids and I were successfully able to watch YouTube TV last week while waiting for my wife to pick up a takeout order.
YouTube has never worked for me, can't log in. Netflix and Hulu have been working great. I've been using both more since the pandemic. Makes eating in the car more enjoyable.
On the Model 3 forums, plenty of work arounds on logging into YouTube and others. Log into Plex and then try YouTube. also from the web browser, log into gmail. Then YT. Better information is avail, but at least you know it can be done...
I live in Dallas, TX and Netflix and Youtube work for me, but I would not describe the experience as great UNTIL I get into a video.
Once I am watching something it runs well and plays fine, but browsing or even just getting Netflix to open is a slow process that takes longer than it probably should.
These apps are very spotty with loading and connection issues (even when on wifi). Anyone able to connect YouTube tv? I always get this message when I try to log in. I also tried to log in gmail from the web browser and got the same message

Trying to understand why we would want streaming services in a car. I cringe to think that people have this stuff running while they are driving. Do you sit in your car parked and watch videos or TV or whatever? I'd imagine that if you drive a Tesla you probably already have a nice large screen/home theater in your house. I'm happy just to have the car connect to my phone for music or calls.
Take daughter to doctor and have to wait outside for an hour due to covid. Sit at supercharger for 20 minutes.Waiting in the car line to pick up daughter. Doesn't work when driving.

Buying any type of car, I expect every option/feature that is offered with the car to work properly. Streaming is disabled while driving. This is more for when waiting in the car for something especially with a toddler and I can watch sports.
