New Guy - Tesla Order Question

I put a cybertruck on order a couple days after announcement.

I just recently put a Model S Plaid on order. It said a June delivery but now has no date.

Having not owned an EV before I am wondering if I am making a mistake getting the Plaid? It is a lot more money. Should I get a Model S long range instead as a first Tesla? I need the range. Driving Dallas to San Antonio, etc.

I am used to fast cars. 2019 ZR1, 2020 GT350R, etc. Heck, I think the LR may be on par with my other cars. Pretty crazy how fast these EVs are these days.

The long range will be the fastest of all the cars you have listed. I would have gotten the truck if it was anywhere near production, and it still is not.

Model S Long Range is faster than the Model S Plaid?

The plaid will be faster. The long range is 3.1 seconds to 60mph, faster than 2019 ZR1, 2020 GT350R, etc.

I am sure the Plaid is quick, fast, etc. It will not replace either the ZR1 or R. I’ll keep my plaid order rolling.

The plaid is even quicker than the 3.1 time of the long range. It is the fastest production car.
