New Model 3 order arriving in December model yr 2022 not 2023

I have a new Model 3 RWD arriving in December. My assigned VIN is showing its model year as 2022 (built before October). I'm not sure what to make of that, on one hand it seems like it will still be equipped with USS, but on the other hand it won't get any of the 2023 improvements such as updated suspension, cameras etc. Has anyone else received their VIN for December delivery? What model year is it showing as?

I was scheduled for 2-16 December but got an email saying my scheduled delivery will be somewhere between mid-December to mid-January, but the time frame given to me from the tesla site still shows original timeframe.
Same. The app says Dec 3-17th, but the email says mid Dec to mid Jan.

Im still waiting on the compliance before I pay. I checked the NZTA site and they state that compliance checks take 3 days, but mine has been in there for 26 days so far.

I've also seen that if you order a new Tesla atm, it was saying this Dec for delivery time. I'm guessing theres a heap of them, plus stock to sell and it's all just backlogged maybe?

As a side note, when I first got the email and VIN, I had a message saying it was going to the camera version and not the sensors, even though it's a 2022 model.
Interesting, and good to know. I got a "Vehicle Assigned" email from Tesla, but it didn't list the VIN nor mention anything about cameras and sensors. I was able to determine the VIN through the chrome browser extension that greps your account page.

All Tesla moved to vision... sensor (radar) are disabled and act as redundant piece of hardware now.
I think Daniel was referring to Ultrasonic sensors, which have been removed from newer model 3s, but continue to function in older models, although Tesla does plan to move completely to vision based park assist and close object detection it hasn't yet, and those modes currently don't function on newer models (without Ultrasonic sensors).

Pardon my ignorance but what does "waiting on compliance" mean? I've only just returned to NZ after 20years overseas so some of this stuff is still foreign to me, lol.
Apparently, all imported vehicles (so all of them I guess) need to be tested for NZ road safety and emissions standards.

They take apart the car and test a bunch of stuff. Until that's finished and signed off, the car can't be sent to the delivery depot.
It works in a few stages where they give the car a VIN first, then run different tests etc.
If you check the invoice, you should see a build date and then a compliance date underneath. I know my finance company won't pay across until the car is compliant and registered in NZTA, so I'm just checking it daily.
Honestly, it might still be weeks after that before delivery. I just don't like having tasks on my to do list, and want to get it paid and sorted lol.
