New Model X without Ultrasonic Sensors and Full Self Driving

I just got my vin and it's saying the vehicle will not come with ultrasonic sensors. I have a 2018 model x with FSD that I use and is extremely important to me (whole reason for buying a Tesla).

will this change affect my FSD on the new vehicle?

Yes and the auto presenting doors suck now. I have backed off of selling my 2020 because of all the complaints I have read about.

From what I've read, FSD doesn't even use ultrasonic sensors anymore.

It has been about a year that all cars without USS can't do Auto Park, Summons... TEMPORARILY.

As others mentioned, without uss, the Model X doors don't function well as when it had uss. This experience is not warned by Tesla at all. We assume uss only affect parking but not Model X doors.

The ultrasonic sensors are only used for the doors, not FSD. FSD has never used the ultrasonic sensors since they are a close range sensor used to detect side obstructions. The ultrasonic sensors have a short detection distance, only about as far as the doors open. FSD uses the cameras so deleting the USS has zero effect on FSD.
