National Grid cuts electricity rates by nearly 40%

National Grid’s customers will soon be getting a break on their utility bills with electricity rates set to drop by nearly 40%, the company said.

Just read this and not sure if I see it as a positive for those who produce and export to grid. Our use/sell price is the same in MA. My production is much greater in summer and I accumulate a substantial credit that I gradually use over the fall/winter. This year I had no actual bill until February. The accounting happens in $$, not kWh, so if my system will generate the same amount of kWh, my credit balance would be 40% less this year? And then the winter comes I'm gonna ran out of these credits way earlier?

Am I missing something or we are getting played again?

Without doing the math, it feels like NG is reversing the high increase from this winter if you use NG as your supplier. I’m on a town sponsored plan at 10.47 cents/kWh so I always benefit from selling back to the grid.
