It’s definitely beefed up. A good 2 inch difference. Much more comfortable, wish mine was produced just a week or 2 later so I could’ve got them.

Which do you prefer??
I have 1648x coming next week...whewI have a 163XX and it has the newer seats.
Nice! I'm still waiting for my invite, but good to know that Tesla is responding quickly to feedback and correcting things like this. I have 2 kids, so most of the time the rear will have booster/car seats, but I figure once I get an M3, I'll be giving lots of rides to friends/coworkers, at least initially. For those wondering what the difference between the new and old rear seats looks like, here is my 14xxx vin vs a 18xxx vin. downside is that the seat backs when folded will not be as flat as they were with the original seat bottom design.
sometimes Sooner is not Better-it's Slow & steady wins the race-you get better car with full the tax credits as well.
My kids are 6' tall and they still find the rear seat uncomfortable compared to our MDX and Fusion.Hmmmm. Makes me wonder though.....
What VIN did Consumer Reports have when they evaluated the car?
