Next OC Tesla Meet - Sun Aug 11th 11 am

Hey OC Folks (and neighbors).

Thanks to those who were able to show their support for the BC2BC EV Rally.

Info for our next OC Tesla Meetup:
When: Sunday August 11th at 11 am
Where: Portola Coffee Lab in Costa Mesa

Portola Coffee Lab (science theme...they wear lab coats) is located within SoCo/OC Mart, that block of furniture outlets off the 405 and Harbor. It is a specialty coffee house that roasts their own coffee beans. They give you several options for brewed black coffee and can make the usual espressos, mochas, and have an assorted muffins/baked goods, etc. They also serve breakfast and lunch fare. If coffee isn't your thing, their sister tea shop is next door. There are also other shops/restaurants within that area (eg, organic gelato shop). There are park benches inside and couches, so hopefully we can commandeer a section.

Park in the center of the big lot to the left (see map link above). There are lots of outdoor parking spaces so should not be an issue. There are no charging stations. There are 4 charging stations down the road at IKEA if you are in need of a charge.

Man, can any of these meets be a Sunday later on at night or a Saturday? I work all sundays. I'm lonely never meeting Tesla owners anytime I drive the car.

Or Rose Canyon Cantina in trabuco canyon. Kind of a different spot that not everyone knows about.

I'll put Rose Canyon Cantina on the list. Gotta work my way up to NW OC (may even Long Beach) and NE OC like Brea (maybe their Tesla Store).

Sounds good.didnt even think about checking this area of the forum until a month or so ago. Glad Someone set me a message about it.

It starts in Hawthorne at the Superchargers which I know is not the OC but they will (tentatively-not yet finalized)
be travelling 1/2 hour south via police escort!

Simplesolar: this one is just a meet at Portola Coffee Lab. The next one will be the PCH cruise from Dana Point to Newport and stop off at Keen Coffee in Newport.

jealous! i'll be in hot and humid Florida the week after our OC meet. I hope I don't melt. Two weeks after that I'll be in Anchorage hoping not to freeze my behind. LOL.
