Nomad charger surging when accelerating?

Does anyone else’s Nomad charger surge when you accelerate? My iphone 11 lights up/powers the display on the dock when I give it some acceleration. Surely, this isn’t good long term for your phone battery.

is it a surge? mine did that a couple times but i thought it might of just moved the phone to wake it up to look for my face to unlock

Phone just lifting slightly off of the rubber pad when you hit the 'go' pedal. Mine does it all the time. There probably is some kind of linear relationship/regression analysis of Model 3 version (SR, LR, P3D+) and frequency of smartphone 'wakeup' on acceleration.

The charger is inside the iPhone and the pad is a Charging Pad (same with all lit-ion batteries including the *Tesla). The charger inside the iPhone determines the amount of maximum current allowed so it is not possible to charge at a higher level the it will allow.

*DC fast chargers like the Supercharger are chargers and bypass the car's internal charger. What you have at you house is Charging Station and NOT a charger.

Its not surging lol. Your car is not pushing more power to it when it accelerates. The phones accelerometer is feeling the car move and thinks it should wake the screen. Normal behavior. Its feeling this because the torque is instant and thinks you want it woken up.
