We have model 3 standard range since 2019 and a Rolec wall charger. On a few occasions when the mains supply has been interrupted, the wall charger does not come back online. Its status light remains red and will not provide charging power.
After re-power it multiple times (days) and a full moon it has come back online. My belief is that it needs to connect to the 2G phone network in order to boot up. Once booted if it loses reception it can still charge.
Does anyone know if the Rolec charger will fail permanently once the 2G phone network ceases, as I believe is planned?
