Non-Tech stock discussion/recommendations

I tried to get the tech thread title changed for inclusivity, but alas that was rejected harder than Elon trying to take Tesla private.

So this can be the thread for non-tech stocks.

I really have no suggestions currently. Over the years, Costco, and Waste Management have done really well for me. Both, also I feel can survive, and even thrive during a recession, which is my most acute concern over a medium length time-line.
