My name is Arvin, I worked on Wayne’s car. All the parts I need I purchase through local part dismantles or eBay. I wish I could purchase them directly through Tesla for a fraction of the cost but you know how that goes. I have done my car as well below Is a pic of the underbite, to me it isn’t bad since I cut the emblem to angle it to the curvature. Message me or Email me (quicker response) if anyone has any questions. Thanks for the post Wayne!

Yes please see attached, all original trim. Only gap is between the new grill and latch trim. I believe someone on the forum makes a filler piece with a 3D printer, but I don’t mind the gap.

Wait, I'm confused. I did the upgrade as well myself. I don't understand how the trim on yours works. I used the stock 2015 left and right under hood panels but the upgraded front part of the under hood panel. In order for them to work together I had to cut the front panel and tape it to the side panels. How did you do yours?

I just ordered this one but it hasn’t come in yet. I thought it would bolt right up but it looks different than the one In Arvin’s car.

damn I hope I didn’t order the wrong part.

The old trim still fits all you have to do is remove 2 of the 4 push pins so only the middle two line up behind the hinge since the new grill doesn’t have the outside two holes. The two push pins hold it plenty, I’ve done the same to the dual hinge car and single.

ya custom honey bee front grill I cut to fit around the auto pilot sensor.
