Did you get anywhere with your own retrofit effort?
i did not unfortunately, I had sent both sets of lights to a guy locally that doers light customizing, and he said he didnt know anything that can be done to get them to work. subsequently i lost my model X in a flood a few weeks ago so my efforts are over if anyone in ny wants to purchase my front bumper and the lights they are welcome to inbox me

would this be same as refresh model s bumper and fogs ? I know someone who put on refresh s bumper on his 2016. Perhaps the solution is the same.

@Hotboy408
All MS and refresh MX beside the old model pre 2021 don't have Lin slave inside the fog light. Pre MX 2021 all use Lin bus and the slave is inside the foglight. I don't know why they changed it in the older MX, but that's the reason you can modified all MS but not older MX.

I need to cut the bottom reinforment support a little more up if not, the bumper have a hard time lining up.
I didnt get a chance to take picture that i did sprayed the reinforcement black and also cut the bottom middle a little higher (you cant tell you cut it, and it seem original)

As for the installation it's pretty straightforward and everything looks perfect with no gap and misaligned. You thought it was the refresh model if not, the dashboard and of course the turn signal. Lol

Been driving the car like normal beside the fast turn signal. I will attempt to do the board switching from the old to the new sometime this coming month.

Thank you for keeping up the good work on this and looking forward to seeing the board swap!
