And square shaped...

Seriously...that must be an old graphic, as it has the Voyagers within the bow shock still....

And man, at the rate they are travelling it would be another 2,500 years to reach the middle of the Oort cloud...

So you're saying that Star Trek the Motion Picture where they find out Voyager has combined with an alien AI isn't that realistic? Geez, ruin it for me...

Unless... the aliens are travelling towards us...

Or one the probes enters a wormhole...

Or it happens 1000's of years from now and is sent back through space and time...

The Voyager probe was thought to have been lost in a black hole. So most likely it actually encountered a wormhole.
