seen it yesturday for the first time in german tv , was a little suprised about the 500km statement ...

the commercial suggests the Ampera will go 500 km electric ... no word about Hybrid or Range Extender ..

I swear GM is deliberately trying to confuse the market. They say that the range extender lets you continue "driving electric". But of course you're driving on gasoline, not electricity.

First Right Hand Drive Amperas on test trip (well, 2 of them are I suspect).

By the way, it looks like the wheels are "morphing" over time with some inset "aero disk" that was clear for a while but now black?

I wonder if the new Model S "aero wheels" will be a similar spoked design with some sort of flat disk melded into it?

I'm going to get a one hour test drive of the Ampera first thing in the morning - probably the first member of the public to take one on the highway in the UK.

Which BEV 'perks' do they expect to get? No congestion charges?
Does it use the same petrol versus EV mode logic as the Volt?
