Opening Supercharger Account

I took possession of my M3 AWD on New Years Eve. I've use my in-home charger since then, but it's time to travel and use superchargers. Dumb question: how do I open a supercharger account? I can't find any mention of it on the app or my Tesla account. I'd hate to be far from home and realize that I can't use a supercharger. My account is associated with a credit card; do chargers automatically ID your account by VIN and charge you? Thanks.

Yes.

Unless there's a software glitch that it thinks your VIN is not eligible for Tesla Supercharging which I have not heard since 2012.

I do hear some software glitches like someone paid for FSD but the car does not have it and can't use it (auto lane change, summon...).

Should be no issues, just go and plug into one near you before you need to use them. 5 minutes to see if it starts charging is all you need.
