Oversized Individuals in MS

I apologize if this has been covered…I did do a search but did not find anything.

How the hell does a BIG guy get entry and exit in a MS without being a contortionist? You practically need to grease yourself down to get it accomplished. I was thinking of getting MS until I tried to get in one…….almost impossible.
I've since been interested in a M3 and/or MY.

Any suggestions?

I'm 6'6". It is certainly less convenient to enter and exit than my Honda pickup, but honestly, I attribute a lot of that to not being as young or as flexible as I used to be. Very comfortable once inside and I feel it is the best highway car I've ever owned. YMMV.

I am not a big guy, but in the MS I find it easier to open the door, then with both feet on the ground put my butt in the seat, then swing both legs into the car.

Just don't try to get in and out of the back seat! I am in good shape, and would be easier for to get out of a Soyuz capsule in a full space suit than the back door of a Model S. They really messed up the design of that door opening.

I've seen videos of this exact way to enter the MS….next time I'm at the service/delivery center I'll try this.

I totally agree with the missing the boat on the design of the door opening.

First thing I noticed is how low the S is, SUV's spoiled me.

Having your butt on the battery bank allows for a lower profile that is key to aerodynamics, range, general success.

The price you pay for looking good. Low roof, steeply raked windshield, only so many ways you can make that work.

I’m 6’5” and don’t generally have problems. But I’m more “tall” than “big”.

Get a Y or X. They are much easier to get in and out of.
