The rails appear to be undamaged. If so, and there was no welding required on this car, this might be one of those "rare" birds that makes it through the re-certification process with a minimum of pain.

A $25000 discount from retail sounds like a great deal to me. Most common service items can be handled by anyone. They're are many resources on TMC, including myself, who can help with more advanced service issues. No service, and most banks (that I know of) won't do an auto loan on a salvage title... I'll give you $500 for it
Firm. How firm are you on that price ?
Auto pilot works gen 1 ?
I thought you could get the car recertifed?
Firm.
Yes autopilot works.
What's the point of recertifying? It doesn't reinstate the warranty.
Welll yes and no. If they don't realize it's a Salvage you will only lose the ability to have them service it. Most rebuilds i have done all receive updates etc. You simply don't tell Tesla it's a rebuilt. It allows you to purchase parts, get software updates, and if you wanted to pay for service at Tesla then you could get them to do some repairs. Without recert, they won't sell you anything, and the car is blacklisted from software updates.
In taking it back to paint for the Fender and bumper. All else they've done well on.Yes the Re paint job on this tesla is horrible.
I use to wholesale cars for many years and always ran across the slvg guys often. So I wanted to chime in for those interested in any slvg for that matter. I have never, I mean never seen a slvg car fixed the way it should be. It is always Mickey Mouse and never as it should be.
I don’t care what or who fixed the car, you will always hear minimal damage, just a few cosmetics etc.
However, you are often getting a car for 10-30k less then if it was not slvg so you can take it for what it’s worth.
And banks won’t loan to slvg cars or rebuilt. You can get a private loan but often not for very much
It is Ludicrous. I'll get some pics later.View attachment 254479 View attachment 254480 View attachment 254481 View attachment 254482 View attachment 254483 View attachment 254484 View attachment 254485
Not sure that could be a ludicrous car, “Insane” yes but not Ludicrous

They don't know trust me. I have registered them with Tesla and used everything but service and roadside assistance. They know, even if they decide not to turn off updates. When a car is sold at auction as totaled, I've been told it is flagged in their system.
When you have time, can you please look at the questions above that I posted?
One keyInterested. Additional questions:
1 or 2 working keys?
Does homelink work?
Does it get software updates? If not, is it rooted?
Do the front louvers open up when supercharging?
In one pic above, the hood rests (those rubber capped bolts), one looks substantially higher than the other. Is this how they have to be set for the hood to rest appropriately?
UMC Cable/charger included?
