What is the removal process like for this kind of film? Is part of the guarantee that the original paint will not be spoiled?

We recommend having a professional installer remove the film, while its possible to do at home a experienced installer will use a few different methods to remove the old film as cleanly and safely as possible. Depending on the age and condition of the film they may use heat to warm up the adhesive for easier release or even steam for tougher parts. We do not guarantee the film to not remove or affect the original paint, or a respray. While its very rare to see any issues with factory paint it can happen and is something to be aware of with getting any PPF installed.

We made the choice to move to STEK products a little under about 2 years ago and have been very pleased with the results on customer cars; customers have also been happy and are quick to recommend this over other available options. The 2 main attributes of STEK that set it apart 1) Super low texture for a thick 8mil film, in short it looks like clear coat 2) It doesn't discolor as quickly as other premium films, so much so that we have removed other films that are less than 1 year old and they are already yellowing, while STEK remains clear.
