Thanks for vid and tips! I have one headlight on my x that has a hazy layer in the plastic or inside... not sure but quoted 1300 to replace. Will try to do my self and black out while at it.Hey TMC!
I just wanted to share my experience if anyone wanted to tackle the project! I am not a big fan of the chrome headlights. I didn't want to tint because that lowers the light output. Blacking out the chrome housing, on a projector headlight does not degrade light performance!

It is a time consuming process, expect to have everything done in a day. Paint drying/Heating up the glue
Hopefully it inspires anyone to black house their headlights. I really like the touch with the frosted drl/turn signal.
The contrast looks fantastic.
Feel free to ask any questions. I'm new here, had the car for a month but want to help out the community in any shape I can.
I think you are right, gonna try some magic eraser from Mr. Clean on it first and see if that does the trick.. but I still want this blacked out look. Thanks for the vids! Are you sure it's not on the outside? I would try to polish the other lens first!
That’s not too bad. What we’re the details of that cost if you don’t mind me asking?I was quoted $500+shipping for the bucket/DRL painting service last August. Maybe this fall after my warranty is up...
Where did you get your bracket or did you make it yourself?
