Percentage of Cars Running FSDb?

I was on a trip to Santa Cruz and was impressed with how many Teslas there were driving around. I used FSDb most of the time, and it did great.

I know this would just be a guess, but what percentage of the Teslas on the road do you think are using FSDb?

Going off the stats in Teslafi, 1.2% have 11.4.1 installed and 26% have 11.3.x.

That’s kind of self selecting since the people that would pay for Teslafi etc are probably more likely to have FSD beta. So I would expect a much less % of cars will on FSDb in actuality.

Yes, Teslafi users are not typical Tesla owners. Their sample set is only 19k out of 4M Teslas and probably skew heavily toward tech savvy and early adopters.

Again, the number you quote is the number of cars in a recent safety recall, which is every US car with FSD (~ 370k) plus FSD cars in Canada (not included in the recall). The number of cars actively testing FSDb is smaller, perhaps 150k to 200k.

Ahhh, good catch! I misread and thought OP was asking how many *HAD* FSDb! Tru dat-- the actual user base will be smaller. And it's likely situational. I'm pretty OK with FSDb on the freeway, only tries to kill me every coupla dozen kilometers. But I was happy with Enhanced Autopilot for that. Surface streets are a whole other matter! I turn it off more often than I have it on.
