Performance 20" wheel kerbed - gutted

I have no idea what makes this car easier to curb than most. Then again I've never curbed one. With auto-tilting mirrors it feels like it's near impossible to do it. Not to say people don't curb wheels all the time in any car, but I really don't think this car is easier than most to curb.

235 tires on a 8.5" rim makes them very susceptible to damage. I hit mine turning around a curb (i.e., when moving forward). It's also simply way wider than the car I came from - wasn't used to it. Still not used to it.

As far as the tilting mirrors... they could be better. I can't see the edge of the rim when parallel parking unless I lift up off the seat, which tends to put the car into Park, so it's definitely possible unless you're OK being a bit far from the curb.

I have literally no idea what you are saying (and I say that in the nicest way possible). Even that article is just saying it's a long and wide car. What has that got to do with curbing wheels? I also have no idea why 235 tires on a 8.5" rim make them more or less susceptible to damage?

Genuinely have no idea. This car is just as susceptible to curbing as any car that *roughly* has the tire and rim in the same place on the extremity, at least as far as I'm concerned.

Here's a picture of my previous car, a 2016 VW Golf R. It came with standard 19" wheels (235/35 R19), and I didn't curb these either. And yet people complained about how easy they were to curb, too.

And for good measure, here's a couple of pictures of my second set of 19" OEM VW wheels for my Golf R, off of a 2017 Golf R. Also 235/35 R19. Never curbed them either!

What I'm trying to say is that high performance-style wheels are easy to curb, no matter the car. I've friends with Porsches and other high-end performance cars and they've curbed those, too. I don't get it. But that's how it is. Some people just can curb wheels like I eat hot dinners.

As title, kerbed half way round the rim edge, it's the grey colour.

Has anyone had one successfully repaired, as in accurate colour match? Any recommendations for UK repair near Warrington or Manchester?

Does anyone know how much it would be for a new wheel if not possible to repair?

Thanks in advance, gutted!
Hi did you find somebody. I have used these Cheshire wheel refurb and repair | The Wheel Specialist. They do a fantastic job.
