This doesn't fill me with confidence. I've been saving for a while now and I pulled the trigger on a red/white performance+ last week. I was really hoping that I'd get the car by the end of the month because of their production schedule and the end of the quarter push. While I still remain hopeful, this makes me think that I won't get my car for a month or two. Everything will be ok either way, but I really want this car as soon as possible! I've been dreaming about it since the model S came out and now I can actually afford it!

Here's hoping you're wrong and we get the car sooner rather than later!
I have some good news for you. I woke up this morning and found my VIN. I’m sure they will be able to get your order to you. I’ll keep my fingers crossed!

I would bet you will get your car by the end of this quarter

I took delivery yesterday and drove already 96 miles here is my timeline and experience.

Feb.4th- Went to Pasadena showroom to test a M3P. They didn't have it so I drove a LR. Placed ordered.
Feb.5th- Got the Welcome text from Tesla
Feb 24th- Text from Tesla Delivery 4-6 weeks
March 9th- Text from Tesla Delivery 2-3 Weeks.
March 9th- VIN in source
March 11th- Text from Tesla to schedule delivery. Scheduled March 13th
March 13th- Took delivery at Tesla Burbank

Here is my experience and thoughts of all of this.
Let me start off the lack of communication . Our SA should have the right to tells us when a specific build is going to make so they won't have us in the dark. Oh we can't help you because you have no VIN. Well can you at least when it's going to be build? No, Tesla does batches . Just wait late March. That frustrated me the most. TMC has a better answer than your SA can give you. Once I got my VIN, everything happened quick! Delivery text, loan, and all the virtual paperwork you do on your Tesla account. When I arrived the DC Burbank, it was busy. No space to park your trade in. I had to park across the street at a harbor freights parking lot. Once you are inside, you get checked it just a little before your appointment time. You sign about 4-5 documents. I skipped the orientation because I watched countless videos on the Model 3. A specialist will show your car and then you are off to drive! This was the most easiest and simplistic thing I ever did when purchasing a car. I hated waiting hours at a typical dealership. The car is amazing, i did an inspection with a list. Everything came out perfect. No paint issues, panels were aligned, & nothing was missing. I did alot of 0-60 pulls later in the day and this car is so amazing! Other than the wait, its very exiting when you take a delivery. It was me knowing I had the first generation xbox under the xmas tree, but not opening til xmas lol.

Goodluck to everyone!!

Model 3 Performance are showing up on existing inventory in Texas with the same specs as mine. Does that mean my model 3 has arrived to the delivery center?

The performances are starting to show up in Texas, me and another member are waiting for our performances to arrive in San Antonio, my car was still in Arkansas yesterday. I did see existing inventory cars here, but my SA said they are not physically here

Just left. Our cars aren't here yet, but will definitely be here by our Wednesday appointment. White performance that is available in inventory is on the truck with them.

Just got my delivery date set yesterday for the 25th @ 11. I was told I might get it earlier as Orlando sometimes gets cars faster then their original ETA. Which is great because I’m up to my eyeballs with this COVID-19 BS right now at work and this is going to definitely lighten the load.

SA said vehicle was in Missouri yesterday and should be in Birmingham soon where it will be loaded on a truck and headed to Orlando. I bet both our vehicles will be on the same truck. Im scheduled for 3/21 so I bet you get yours earlier if my theory is right.
