Tesla has some dumb fascination with shiny [stuff] in the interior of their cars. I'd probably prefer it to be some dark wood trim (and on the air vent dash, too) but if that's not available I'll just have somewhat install matte ppf to it like people have done on the back of the seats in X's.

I see this red one still has the mysterious C pillar sensor... I still wonder exactly what that was for.

My guess is that it is the card reader. Which has been moved to the B pillar and made seamless.

Whatever it was, it was there for testing purposes, it does not mean it needed it, but that it was faster/easier/cheaper to have it set up like that at that moment.

I knew that, but this is an RC. Makes me wonder how close we were to 20's as and option for this year vs whenever they do decide to release them (performance model maybe?)
The 20 inch wheels with red calipers look amazing. 20 inch dark grey wheels with red calipers look even better. Warrior poets have written great songs dedicated to such things.

Agreed; I hope Tesla grows out of the shiny plastic phase (and it used to be on the exterior, too, e.g. pre-facelift Model S). Reminds of me first-gen iPhones:
On the interior, muted textures might not sell the picture, but damn it if they don't like classy.
Just curious, since you were already able to confirm your order I'm assuming you're a Tesla or SpaceX employee?

Photoshopped or not I'm glad to see this pic. I LOVE these rims on the S but IMHO they don't work as well on the 3.

Saw a pearl white today with the 19s. Very nice. Powder coat with a darker shade would be sweet.
