Playing requested song?

I noticed that the car no longer plays the song requested but instead plays songs it thinks are similar. Does anyone know why this happened and if there is any way to get the system to play the songs we actually want to hear? This was a selling point for me and I'm very disappointed that it no longer works.

Nothing to do with the car. That’s how free slacker account works and always has. If you want exact song or to listen to whole album, you need to buy a premium slacker or Spotify subscription.

I never had a premium account for anything and it just worked on my 2016 S up until last month. So what changed?

With slacker it was hit and miss. I requested a song and it would play that song on a radio station named after the request about 15% of the time. Sometimes I would have to skip the songs 10 times to get to the requested song.

Maybe you have just gotten lucky all this time and finally the law of averages has caught up with you and your luck has ran out?

Very happy to now be on Spotify, it is well worth the $10 a month.
