Elon already said "short hops" and we can assume it won't have wings to get airborne, and we know it has 10 thrusters. I would think that at high speeds a gentle tweak of the spoiler and other physical elements of the car could turn downforce into up-force allowing the car to get airborne. Then you need some way to control the car's stability when airborne on these short hops and that is where the 10 thrusters would take over with the use of computers. They could shoot air wherever needed to keep the car level and to even ensure a calm "reentry" back to the road. Any physics experts out there that can say if this is crazy or not?

I envision the thrusters used in a fashion similar to NOS, where they are activated at a predetermined throttle setting or speed.
Having them activated at a standstill might be fun, but dangerous, while being activated at say 60mph under full throttle, would be much safer and provide thrust when electric motors are starting to lose their advantage.
