Problem buying EAP for $5500 during trial period

I have 23 days left on EAP trial and I decided to buy it for the $5500 sale price today instead of waiting until the full 30 days trial expires. But when I select Order Now on my car's touch screen it says the cost is the full $7000. Any idea what's going on?

Tempe Service Center was stumped but they don't really deal with these trials.

I wonder if maybe I have to wait until the 30 days expire before buying in order to get the $5500 price??

Yes, the discounted price will be offered for 7 days after the trial ends.

No one at Tesla can explain why they won’t take my $5500 now and why the screen in the car says the cost is $7000. I have kicked the question up one level above the SC and that individual is also stumped.

So, lboweoom, if you are still around can you tell me why you think the cost will drop to $5500 for the week after my trial ends even though it is $7000 now?

It said so on the initial trial offer popup...

$5,500 if you participate in the trial, $7,000 otherwise post delivery. Price subject to change. Self driving is extra $5,000 post delivery. You’re welcome.

I had the same issue. They are trying to fix it. I had to call service.
