Do people have any idea how accurate the TPMS sensors are?

I sometimes cross reference the pressures with an old gauge I know is accurate, after almost 5 years the TPMS on my model S appears to be accurate, that doesn't mean it will be on every other car, best not to trust the traditional service station tyre gauge though, it's likely gone through a large amount of abuse in a short time.

They are very good on mine. Always within 0.5psi according to both digital gauges I have.

...Probably not good enough for the person thats insists on now filling their tyres with pure de-humidified nitrogen and then telling everybody that this is the only way to get stable handling*

*they crashed their car and it was clear that the 0.1psi difference on the left corner totally caused that. ... not that they attempted to take a 40km/h bend at 80.
