One of the first things I noticed when driving my new MYP was the lack of underthigh support when compared with my previous car (Camaro). I bought a front pair of these seat covers from RPM Tesla for $45 each. Hope they do the trick.
To be honest, they are a little too much of a good thing. I like them better than stock because they provide more support under my thighs but they are a little too long for my legs.
How are you suppose to mount this thing ? There a fabric
piece that comes down from the rear of the seat that blocks
threading the seat cover under the back rest. I can see that
it is attached with clips under the seats via two stretchy straps
but they don't want to come off easily .
No instructions provide typical of Chinese products.
The two stretchy straps have clips on their ends which hook over the wire springs on the underside of the seat. They can be unhooked with a bit of effort. See video here
Snap on front seat underseat hooks do not want to come off and I don't believe in forcing stuff and breaking it. There has to be a trick to this.
But thanks for the Video .
these go on the long term research list of potential upgrades, like with HUD
very good point, that for a long drive the pressure could be an issue, additionally when FSD and not using the pedal(s)
thanks
What does HUD have to do with seat covers?
OK got the snaps off got the seat cover on sort of .
Not impressed with the fit, and a pain in the you know what
to tuck in on the sides.
Will report back when I have some miles on the seat.
Initialy does not seem like it gives much leg support
but it might be too loose .
Tried putting more stuffing under the support .
That part is barely making contact with my legs,
and the whole purpose was thigh support. It does
almost reach my knees. My opinion so far is meh
not really working.
Also takes some of the softness of the seat away.
