Radar detector for model 3

Here's how I mount my radar detector.
Suction cup from Amazon was $15

Didn't want to pay $150 for blendmount

Still need to route power cord to 12v

This is one feature that I just want auto makers to add to the car itself as an add-on. It would be way nicer if it could integrated into a sensor built into the vehicle with options on how it works via software.

I think perhaps the issue would be that they are illegal in some states so they would have to be disabled for sales in those States (certainly possible) but could be a pain.

for this running radar detectors, are we sure there isn't a loss in sensitivity due to the front windshield. I just read the manual the toll tags still need to be mounted to the right of the mirror mount....or is that not true anymore?

Radar detectors are only illegal in one state, Virgina (and Washington D.C.). Also, military bases. This could be circumvented by only having the antenna installed, the processing unit could be purchased seperately. But I really don't see any car manufacturers doing that.
