    Far West Texas Charging

I have heard through the grapevine that supercharging will be coming to Terlingua at some point in the future. Possibly later this year. I saw it mentioned in the big bend group I am in.

    Far West Texas Charging

I know Basecamp Terlingua already installed a charger, and they had another that got broken from an excavator backing into it. My friend runs Flack electrical down there, and he hooked up the charger for Basecamp Terlingua. If possible check with them, or Flack electrical. I went down there in...

    Fort Worth Service Center

They are hiring it looks like also. My degree is operations amanagement, but I am more inclined to work at the factory over a service center. My background is engineering, operations and IT, but I will think about it though since I am currently jobless at the moment. But my plan is working at...

Amarillo to Trinidad, CO supercharger stats - round trip

I will be heading this way again over the weekend, but my plan is just capulin volcano for the new moon after Palo duro on Saturday. I will be staying in the capulin rv park to fully charge overnight and then may head to santa fe afterwards. Still figuring that out, but at least theTesla...

    Far West Texas Charging

Any status updates on chargers in the area? I was thinking about hitting big bend ranch, but I think El cosmico is closed for now. Not sure what options are available, but wanted to hit it up while I have free time and before it gets hot out. I know bbnp will reopen soon, but i would prefer...

    Full charge 99%?

I had the Service Center run the battery diagnostics on my car yesterday and it is within the normal thresholds and possibly a little lower on the degredation side compared to the fleet average. They basically just compare it to the fleet and just use data from the vehicle. I am guessing that...

    Banging noise over bumps

So my issue with noises over bumps was a super simple fix. It was coming from the trunk going over bumps and they just adjusted the rubber twist bumpers to remove the slack on it. I was hoping it would be something a little bigger so I could borrow the 100D, but oh well. 22k miles and the rubber...

    Fort Worth Service Center

I brought this up yesterday at my service center visit in Dallas yesterday, and it sounds like it may open in the next few months. I was told the lifts are installed and it will need to secure some permits and hire employees, but hopefully 2nd quarter of this year and we will have a service...

    Supercharger - Waco, TX

Just noting that the El Pollo Regio is not open yet, but probably will be very shortly. I planned on getting food there and they are still working on the interior of the building. On another note, according to my account, this supercharger is free. I stayed a little longer than planned to top...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I just went in and had the employee at Discount review the warranty materials for Michelin and then they prorated it and ordered my tires. I did not call at all, just showed up and had them look into what they can do there. That was last month when I got them replaced.

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

This comment goes for anyone in this thread. If you need to replace your first set of Michelin MXM4's, go to a Michelin approved dealer like Discount Tire or another store and they can prorate the discount on the tire warranty. My Michelin cross climate new set was $513 out the door and I got a...

    Supercharger - Waco, TX

For anyone who hasn't tried El Pollo Regio, the combo #2 asada plate is the bomb. The grilled chicken is also fantastic, but not for a lunch break in the model 3. That gets messy and greasy really quick. I will be happy to stop by there next time I roll through.

    Full charge 99%?

Has anyone actually had their car diagnosed and battery replaced from the TSB listed? I have an appointment and will inquire about it in a couple weeks. As of now, my car hit 310 miles at 100% when it was new in November 2018. Then a software update last year changed that to 325 miles max, then...

Just Shredded Three Tires: Need Tire Recs ASAP!

My suggestion is that you should buy tires with a warranty and go to shops that will cover it if they wear out too quickly. Even the standard MXM4's can be covered by michelin prorated warranty if they wear out before 45k miles.

Easier to avoid speeding tickets in Tesla?

Considering my 285 wh/m after 17k miles, it is quite easy to speed in my LR RWD 3. At least autopilot makes road trips easy and efficient. So far I have not been pulled over, but I am getting replacement tires already at 17k. Luckily Michelin will warranty that with a nice discount on my next...

Just Shredded Three Tires: Need Tire Recs ASAP!

This chart has the most info you will find on Model 3 tires anywhere. Just avoid the Tesla Service Center. Other options should be way cheaper with better warranty conditions. VERSION 2: Comparison of best Model 3 compatible tires (18", 19", 20") : teslamotors

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

My wh/m is around 285 average in my LR RWD 3. That's in Texas, so cold is not really an issue on that front. Highways in Texas do keep that high with 75mph speed limits, but I definitely step on it a few times a day. Efficiency was not a concern since I was paying 7.25 cents a kwh my first year...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I was just around 17200 miles on MXM4's. My back 2 did not pass Texas state inspection below 2/32" tread depth. My front ones were around 4/32" but within warranty replacement guidelines. If I could have, I would have driven them a little further to delay the cost, but the inspection and doing a...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

Ended up getting a huge discount on my Michelin replacement tires at discount tire from the michelin warranty. If the Primacy Tour A/S were in stock it would have only cost $332 out the door, but those are on national backorder. I upgraded to the Michelin Cross Climates and that was $512 after...

    Fort Worth Service Center

Any updates on this yet? Dallas is totally slammed over the holidays. I am getting a popping sound that sounds like a frame flex in the back passenger area, but also sounds like it could be the strut. I was hoping to have it checked out before my Cali road trip, but looks like I will be waiting...

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

I am looking at having to replace my rear tires now before my Cali road trip in a week, then my fronts when I get back. Did anyone have any luck getting their MXM4's prorated for a discount on their tires? My LR RWD 3 is at 17k miles, and my rear tires won't pass inspection. My front are at...

    Banging noise over bumps

I had rescheduled my appointment yesterday, but for some reason it never updated in the system and reverted back to the 26th when I will be out of town. What Kind of Car Did The Model 3 Replace?

2005 Scion TC with 230k miles. The difference is night and day. It is much nicer to have functioning air conditioning again in Texas. I still have my Scion so I can haul anything needed for my garden, but otherwise it sits around and costs $45 a month in insurance. If I dropped off my car at the...

    Annual Vehicle Inspection in Texas

I will go by discount next week. I may only need to replace my back two for now since the others were 4/32". Annual Vehicle Inspection in Texas

I just failed my inspection since they said my tires are at less than 2/32" of tread depth. They don't seem anywhere near bald to me, so I may try elsewhere to see if it passes. Otherwise I may do my Cali road trip and replace them after that early next year. Otherwise I am just at 17k miles in...

    Banging noise over bumps

I have been getting some popping noises coming out of my rear strut over bumps. IT sounds like this may be the issue if it is somewhat common. I am having issues with my write speed even though my samsung is supposed to be 300 mb/s and the message I get requires 4mb/s. It seems like there is an issue with v10 adding the other camera. Is this across the board, or do people not have issues with this?

    Supercharger - Fort Worth, TX

Although its not related to the superchargers, I did notice that Fort Worth got one of 350kwh electrify America charging stations over by the Sams Club by Ridgmar Mall. I think it was CCS and Chademo adapters, but forgot which was which for the high power charger. It looks like it is ready to go.

Amarillo to Trinidad, CO supercharger stats - round trip

I definitely noticed lots of improvement on autopilot compared to my roadtrip in February. On that trip I would see autopilot occasionally drive onto the median line when doing wide right turns on 2 lane highways which made me take over anytime it did that. That behavior is no longer an issue...

Spare tire options for Model 3

You can fit all 4 aero caps in the front trunk and that is about all the space it has. If you do, just make sure no sharp edgess can scratch the outsides. One other thing to note was I tried using autopilot up the volcano and it did okay up until the part where the road zig-zags near the top like a sine wave. Autopilot could not handle that. It is roads like this that highlight where autopilot still needs improvement.I will say that autopilot...

Correct on the last post. I fully charged to 312 miles on 3 legs of the trip heading that way, and was more confident on the way home to not worry about fully charging it. Do we have any idea if this will be a V3 supercharger? I wish it was ready already. Will be heading up that way to Denver from Fort Worth next week. Far West Texas Charging

Yeah. I didn't end up charging from the big bend lodge, but most outlets are kind of far away since the rooms are up a small hill. Its just one reason to always keep an extension cord in your trunk. Otherwise you will need to charge in Big bend no matter what in any Tesla leaving from Fort...

    PPF in Dallas area?

This was some info I compiled earlier this year on PPF and tint stuff. I still need to do tint, but not sure if I will do anything else. Still on Software Version 12.1.2

I am still on it in Texas and want the next update.
