Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I've had this happen five times in 300 miles with a brand new 2020 M3P, accompanied by unusually harsh ride quality.
It is probably the battery case expanding when the battery warms up? Usually during supercharging, elevation changes, etc. that works the battery harder. At least that is what mine does. It is not documented in the manual anywhere but Tesla told me it is a normal characteristic, lol. If it is normal, you would think they would note it in the manual so owners are aware instead of always checking the review to see if they ran over something...
Depends on the service center. I know of a few that have recently done it in Switzerland. It doesn’t completely resolve the issue and I’ve had it done. Now I’d say it happens with 80% less frequency.
