yes, that is exactly what happened to mine. they replaced it without question. unfortunately the rear glass no longer has that red aura when it gets wet. mine was coincidentally delivered right about the same time yours was, early october.

question... was your rear glass tinted before it burned out? I ask because mine was fine until just a week or two after having it tinted and i'm wondering if that might have had anything to do with it.

Dropped by the service center today. They confirmed it was a stress crack. Some guy from Idaho cancelled his rear glass replacement and I’ll be getting his on a Friday as a warranty repair. It helps to have a great service center in a low population state!

... so far all the issues my m3 has had

1. another semi-issue is braking rasping and poor braking performance. requires an excessive force to brake vehicle no matter the regen setting. can hear rasping sound while braking at low speeds, the kind of sound you hear when brake pads are worn and the rotor is being scratched by the pad backing. haven't driven other m3's so this might be normal? tesla tech said it was.

I have a similar noise when pressing the brake pedal when starting a drive. After driving a while the sound goes away. Is this really normal? Strange scratchy noise like worn pads.

Car makes a lot of weird noises still. Transmission whine sounds like a cop is constantly on my trail. Steering noises, loud climate fan, brakes rasping...

Just had them re-tint the replaced rear glass... really hope I don't have to go through this again as it cost me $250 and no Tesla won't cover it.

Croman: Curious about where you are seeing these reports about the ROOF glass cracking on the 3 as I'd like to read more. Thanx

Mine just cracked the other day. Rear window...appears to be a short and it melted the glass where it shorted(distorted the glass)

Update: Rear glass replaced under warranty last week. Service was exceptional!

So far all 3 others including mine I have seen with rear glass crack all occurred at exactly the same heater vertical trace in seemingly the exact same place and pattern.
