Rear screen third brake light replacement?

Had anyone had their third brake light replaced?

On my 14 plate p85+ mine had failed miserably (about 50% of LEDs out). I have a new led board, however the light appears to be wedged between the rear screen and the metal of the tailgate. Is it possible for a DIY replacement?

Falling that is it possible for a professional to remove the rear screen and then replace it? What a terrible design!!!

This is really a poor design as far as the LED strip replacement. I think there is also a real risk that the back glass will be broken when attempting removal.

Definitely not something I would be comfortable doing, and I agree the rear glass may break even if "skilled" professionals do it.

Thank you for the replies, I suspected as much. I guess I'll just have to live with it
